Qualifications:
Must meet minimum experience (5 years) requirements for Dental Radiographic Technician II & have a minimum 2 years experience in that position in a Dental organization.
Successful completion of advanced training in dental radiographic techniques including special procedures & panorex & cephlometric skills.
Task Description:
Performs procedures, selecting the proper technical factors and avoiding hazard to the patient or self.
Exercises full responsibility for the instrument sterilization procedures and equipment sanitizing for the designated equipment or work area.
Observes patients for unusual reactions or events and responds to emergency situations by administering first aid.
Operates without supervision a service for making duplication of radiographs as assigned.
Mounts intraoral and extra-oral radiographs in their proper orientation to anatomical landmarks in order that dentists can correctly ascertain the location of the pathology from the radiographic survey (e.g. there are 20 different views in a full mouth survey of the dentition).
