Gather business requirements from internal customers
Translate business requirements to technical requirements
Writing of RFPs
Communicate with vendors for product evaluations
Translate technical requirement to the required solution design
Assist line manager with design and planning of network management solutions
Development of ad-hoc solutions using various software development tools
Provide initial support and training to internal customers for implemented solution
Explore, test, configure and optimize open source solutions.
4 years Bachelors/Masters Degree from HEC recognized higher education institution in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
4-5 years of experience in IT Business Analysis and Software development. Cellular telecoms experience preferred.
Requirements
Good knowledge of GSM and Packet Core networks.
Experience using Network Management Tools preferably performance management tools
Strong understanding of Telecom/data communication protocols like TCP/IP, SNMP etc.
Understanding of Sun Solaris, Linux and Windows Servers 200X Operating Systems.
Familiarity with Sun or Dell Hardware including Servers, Workstations and Storage Arrays
Familiarity with Shell and/or Perl scripting language
Thorough knowledge of VB, PHP, MS-SQL, MySQL, Apache/IIS
KPI’s:
Delivery of Effective NMS solution design as per business requirement
