Job Description:
Our client requires a Project Control Manager to join their existing team working on petrochemicals related projects in Saudi Arabia.
Duties
To manage all cost & scheduling activities associated with a Major PMC Project as part of an integrated project team.
To monitor and appraise the contractor’s construction performance, and ensure that necessary corrective actions are taken in such areas as safety, quality, planning and scheduling, cost control, subcontract administration and change management.
Establishing and defining job orientated project control procedures.
Defining primary Project schedule and cost requirements.
Managing activities of the project control team.
Monitoring and comparing both schedule and cost reports and relating conclusions such that management control action is alerted at the right time.
Liaising with other departments at all meetings relative to project operations, to ensure that information affecting schedule and cost is continually up-dated.
Co-ordination of the final job statistics and analysis of the effectiveness of procedures for possible improvement on future projects.
Providing feedback on key project issues to project management team on a timely basis.
Experience and background
Worked as a Project Controls Manager on recent large international onshore PMC projects
Substantial relevant experience on major construction sites.
Track record of success.
Clearly exhibited ability to develop good working relationships/become a team player
Possess oral and written English language skills required to function effectively within a project team, and to communicate with Project Management, Contractors and Subcontractors
Demonstrated willingness to relocate to work sites worldwide
Degree preferred
Membership of recognised institute
