How is the Romanian short-stay visa granted
IV. Are you a citizen of: the Russian Federation, Albania, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, or Serbia and Montenegro? You can benefit by certain facilities when requesting a Romanian short-stay visa!
In the case of nationals of states with which the European Community has concluded transit and short-stay visa facility agreements, the Romanian visa can be granted on the basis of the supporting documents provided in these agreements, depending on the status of the visa applicant, as well as on the purpose of the trip.
Romanian entry visas are issued on the basis of the supporting documents indicated in the agreements for each category, without the request of any other additional proofs, invitations or equivalent documents as to the purpose of the trip. Nevertheless, the applicants also have to submit the supporting documents regarding the purpose of the trip to Romania, as provided for in GO 194/2002 concerning the regime of aliens in Romania, republished.
