Senior Environmental Engineer
Position reports to: Environmental Manager
Primary objectives To provide environmental services to WorleyParsons Arabia clients. Clients can be internal WorleyParsons Arabia or external clients.
To be responsible for the performance of assigned projects both in terms of technical capability and commercial performance.
To promote WorleyParsons Arabia environmental capabilities to clients to achieve follow-on work with existing clients and new work with prospective clients.
Specific Accountabilities · Develop environmental strategies for project approvals.
· Knowledgeable as to regulatory approval processes.
· Identify requirements for, and scope, of required environmental studies.
· Undertake Environmental Impact Assessment of projects.
· Network and inter-discipline with other WorleyParsons departments.
· Interface management with the client.
· Review environmental criteria in design phases of projects.
· Develop, or contribute to, Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and associated management plans (EMP).
· Oversee implementation of EMS and EMP.
· Undertake site audits on EMS/EMP as required.
· Peer review specialist sub-contractor work as required.
· Identify and carry out Project Procedures & Deliverables.
· Perform Cost Time Resource (CTR) management & progress reporting.
· Estimate work scopes & CTR.
· Lead a team of professional and technical people.
· Act as mentor to newly graduated engineers/scientists, design and project engineers, technicians and technical specialists.
· Liaise with the other stakeholders on all consulting matters.
· Serve in related capacities as required
· Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance System relevant to the Safety & Risk Department.
· Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Safety & Risk Department. Understand and follow Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) procedures.

Job Requirements
Essential Skills/Experience · 10 Years Minimum
· MSc in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science from a good university.
· Industry experience gained either as a consultant or industry employee.
· Excellent command of English (verbal / written / comprehension)
Desirable · Experience of working for a consulting firm such as WorleyParsons.
· Experience in conducting Environmental Impact Assessments .
