Electrical Engineer
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: BS EE EXPERIENCE: Ten (10) years, preferably in a refinery, and/or oil and gas industry or similar process industry, such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as an expert. Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, Standards and Specifications and be familiar with engineering, procurement, and construction practices.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Formally designs or studies electrical modifications to oil processing and oil handling facilities, residences, and utilities. Occasionally called upon to design electrical aspects of new facilities of the type mentioned. Lead the development of engineering specification (electrical aspect), develop material and equipment specifications, and resolve related engineering problems in rendering the design by applying accepted engineering principles, codes and standards, making the necessary diagrams and calculation; and considering the economic factors involved. Outlines the supporting service requirements such as drafting, material take-offs, requisitioning and engineering. Acts as the project design engineer on assigned projects. Follows and inspects the construction progress of assigned projects assuring conformance with design specifications, codes and standards, recommends or confirms design changes, material and equipment substitutes, and assures that costs do not exceed appropriated funds by anticipating overruns and justifying supplementary appropriation requests. Performs a variety of related work such as initiating reports and correspondence relative to assigned projects , assembling performance data and conducting studies relative to the development, procurement or adaptation of equipment; interpreting the meaning and application of codes and standards, reviewing operating procedures and safety instructions, acting as technical consultant or operating problems. Reviews the work performed elsewhere for conformance with Saudi Aramco conditions and to assure its' appropriate relationship to existing installations; and if required, redesigns and recommends necessary modifications.
Electrical Engineer
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: BS EE. EXPERIENCE: Nine (9) years, preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry, such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as an expert. Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, Standards and Specifications. Candidate must have a strong background in electrical engineering design with emphasis on project management and contract administration. Candidate must have experience in electrical design in oil and gas projects. Candidate must be familiar with the Industry Standards such as ANSI, API, NFPA, NEC, etc. Candidate must be fluent in spoken and written English. Candidate must have basic knowledge in other design disciplines.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties and responsibilities will include: Manages projects in design stage with GES contractors. Reviews design packages, resolve issues with Saudi Aramco organizations and GES contractors. Performs miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
Electrical Engineer
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Electrical Engineer will be working under Northern Area Projects Department / Ras Tanura Projects Division. Successful candidate will be expected to: Be responsible for monitoring and managing capital projects from inception to completion throughout all execution phases including Project Proposal, Contract Procurement, Detail Design, Procurement and Construction. Major activities include: Develop Project Proposal scope of work and associated ER estimate. Service Order Preparation for Project Proposal package and ER estimate. Procure Contract by coordinating with Contracting Department Monitor and manage Detail Design, Procurement and Construction phases. Monitor and manage Project scope, schedule and cost. Coordinate and work with all project stake holders to meet project objectives. Ensure that all applicable Saudi Aramco requirements are complied with. Play a major role in implementing relevant project safety requirements.
SELECTION CRITERIA: Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management or closely related major. Experience: Minimum of nine (9) years electrical/instrumentation experience preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry with at least three (3) years in Project Management. Must be familiar with engineering, procurement and construction practices.
COMMENTS: Northern Area Projects Department is basically involved with various construction projects like refineries, gas plants, terminals, offshore and marine. The Department is located in West Admin Bldg., Ras Tanura, and all Divisions are scattered all over the Kingdom plus several Out-of-Kingdom assignments.
