Job Description:
Our client requires a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their existing team working on petrochemicals related projects in Saudi Arabia.
Duties
To manage all electrical engineering activities associated with a Major PMC Project as part of an integrated project team.
To monitor and appraise the contractor’s construction performance, and ensure that necessary corrective actions are taken in such areas as safety, quality, planning and scheduling, cost control, subcontract administration and change management
Overall responsibility for electrical project execution.
Point of contact for Client Representative.
Co-ordinate all Electrical Engineering activities related to PMC scope of works
Develop conceptual design and scope work
Prepare estimate for design activities and deliverables
Prepare design supporting calculations for electrical systems
Prepare specification for electrical equipment and materials and assist procurement
Conduct technical evaluations of vendor bids and select the vendor.
Review and approve vendor drawings and documentations in compliance with applicable standards.
Be conversant with materials sourcing and identification in accordance with standards.
Develop design supporting calculations (Conductor, Power Supply, Battery, Chargers, ICCP)
Provide Technical Support to Junior Engineers
Design Check, write project Scope of Work
Insure coordination with other disciplines.
Provide Technical Support during project execution
To act as technical authorities or consultants to the Design Team, Construction Group and the Client
Experience and background
Worked as a Electrical Engineer on recent large international onshore projects
Substantial relevant experience on major PMC projects.
Track record of success.
Clearly exhibited ability to develop good working relationships/become a team player
Possess oral and written English language skills required to function effectively within a project team, and to communicate with Project Management, Contractors and Subcontractors
Demonstrated willingness to relocate to work sites worldwide
Required Skills: Construction, Electrical, Petrochemical, Oil and Gas, Engineer, PMC, FEED
