THE JOB!
1st Officer / Senior 1st Officer
Senior Watch-keeping role
4 months on / 2 months off
EUR 42k / annum
500 PAX Mega-yacht
Management of junior watch-keepers
Strong focus on navigation and ECDIS
Reports to Chief Mate
Strong promotional prospects
High-end, luxurious style of cruising
Interesting itineraries (Amazon, Peru, Far-East)
THE CANDIDATE!
Must have -
Chief Mate Unlimited CoC
ECDIS certificate
A min of 2 years as 1st Officer
Crowd and Crisis Management Certificate
Valid ENG1 or national equivalent
Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
Exp of being at sea for long periods
Ability to manage and train junior officers and cadets
Excellent safety record
Nice to have -
Master Mariner Unlimited CoC
4 years exp as 1st Officer
Strong cruise ship experience
Ambition to progress up the ranks
Exp in hosting guest tables and social responsibilities
